Rowing

SportsAble has two adaptive sculling boats at Dorney Lake suitable for use by disabled people.

The boats, a single and a double sculler, are both fully equipped with outriggers and floats, and professional instruction can be made available.

Members are encouraged to take up this wonderful opportunity to go out on the water and learn a new skill.

Sessions can be booked at your convenience and a volunteer may be made available to assist on occasion.

Those currently in the section thoroughly enjoy the activity and can highly recommend it. Currently leading the way in rowing for SportsAble is ex-Paralympian Rebecca Gale who is loving the exercise and freedom that rowing gives her. "Rowing is absolutely brilliant and I love it. I come back smiling from each session and I feel like I've had the best exercise and lots of fresh air. Plus, I've learnt a new skill and recently went on a boating holiday. I can highly recommend it to all SportsAble members."

This is a relatively new section to SportsAble and one that we are keen to explore and develop. If you have any questions please contact the SportsAble office on 01628 627 690.
